ABOUT

Year after year, lack of or inadequate fall protection is one of OSHA's top-cited violations. OSHA has made a concerted effort to highlight the dangers of the lack of proper fall protection with its National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. The military and certain public-sector projects have even higher standards, requiring 24-hour competent person training, stating that 4 or even 8 hours are not enough to fully understand how to create and implement an effective company fall protection plan. This comprehensive training includes a hands-on portion, showing how to properly use and inspect fall protection equipment, as well as an overview of the rules and standards of fall protection. Attendees will also learn how to build and implement a Fall Protection & Prevention Plan, and an Activity Hazard Analysis.
This training complies with the following standards:
-
29 CFR OSHA 1926 – Safety and Health Regulations for Construction
-
ANSI Z359 (2009-2017) – The Fall Protection Code
-
ANSI A10.32 (2012) – Personal Fall Protection Used in Construction and Demolition Operations
-
ANSI Z490.1 (2016) – Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training
